Welcome to my first blog. This website was made approximately a year ago and I’m finally putting it to use. Wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to write about when it was created. As I begin to write I want you to understand this blog will always be filled with honesty and transparency. We live in a time where there is so much information, that we may become discouraged because we feel as though everybody is doing it. Well there’s many health and wellness “experts” and bloggers and I personally did not believe that I could ever begin blogging. So before we get to the good stuff I just want to encourage you to just take the first step and begin whatever it is that has been put on your heart to do. On a side note I just want it to be known that I am not at all a english professor so don’t come here looking for perfect grammar, I’m doing my best. Yes it’s okay to laugh when reading some of these post. Too corny? Whatever.

Let’s quickly jump into our first topic for the month which will include the mind, body, and Spirit. What do you think about when you hear or in this case see the mind, body, Spirit? Fitness? Health and wellness? Jesus Christ? Fruits and Vegetables? McDonalds? Holy Spirit? Yoga? Witchcraft? mind, body, and Spirit can mean a lot of things to different individuals. Regardless if you are not taking care of your mind, body, and Spirit appropriately a issue will arise. I believe that Satan wants to steal, kill, and destroy us by stealing our mind, killing our body, and destroying our Spirit.

Mind, Body, & Spirit vs Steal, Kill, & Destroy

When you look at this title what do you see in common? Nothing? Well I see 3 vs 3. This number 3 is significant. Why? Well the biblical definition of the word three or the Hebrew meaning means completeness. If we take a look at a triangle we see that it clearly has three lines and when one line is taken away it is no longer complete. What’s my point? In order to be whole you must be taking care of your mind, body, and Spirit. You shouldn’t just take care of one area of your life and completely disregard the other. Being physically fit but not taking care of your mind and things that you may be struggling with in your past. Being a disciple of Christ but not Glorifying God in the way you take care of His temple. We need to continue to encourage on another to be completely whole. The enemy wants to steal your mind, kill your body, and destroy your Spirit.

It sounds harsh but it’s the truth. My goal through these blogs is to empower you with information, knowledge, wisdom, scriptures, accountability, and encouragement to fight the battles we deal with everyday. For the next couple of days I want you to reflect on this statement. Ask yourself if you consistently take care of your mind? Do you consistently eat healthy? Do you exercise? Do I pray, meditate on the Word of God? If any answer was no, then you may not be your BEST self. I’m not a doctor or psychologist. I am not diagnosing you but if you’re reading this I genuinely want to help you be your BEST self. This month we will discuss ways to protect our mind, body, and Spirit from the snares of the enemy. Come back next week to find out “Ways to protect your mind from the enemy”.
